last of the thanksgiving throw pillows

This is the end, no more Thanksgiving pillows.

Nice simple embroidery. Good solid work. I love how the felt was stuffed just a little to make a slightly three dimensional look on the turkey feathers and the pumpkin.

thanksgiving pillow

And with this pillow, we are but one away from reaching the end of my stockpile of embroidery suggestions for the Thanksgiving holiday throw pillow suggestions. Which actually I think is pretty good because after a while, how many freaking turkey pillows can one house stand to have? One. One pillow.

As with all the others, I just cannot see this as a little pillow. Were I to have these in my house, they would have to be significantly oversized to make them doable. That is the only way I could see enjoying them. But nonetheless, the work is still lovely.

embroidered thanksgiving pillow

Almost done with the Thanksgiving pillows. This is one of the last entries. The devil is in the details of the work, but at least the shape is changing.

I would still do this in a much larger size than normal throw pillows just for interest sake. It would be more fun that way.

Another entry into the Thanksgiving throw pillow gift possibilities. I think this is my favorite honestly, because for once, it does not have a turkey front and center. I like to see the cornucopia as it gets back to the whole celebrate the harvest feast and the fullness of the crops and the harvest.

Click to see the details of the pillow itself. There are a lot of embellishments used on this particular little number.

Free label time.

It dawned on me that next week is Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? Next week! I am not so worried, in that I have everything pretty much ready, but the last thing that really can happen is to make some pretty table decorations.

So, I’m passing along some labels today for you to use to create place cards or party favors or centerpieces or what have you. Just whatever floats your boat. I will probably post another batch of Thanksgiving labels before the big day.

These labels are available full size if you will click. Then right click and save to your own computer. From there, work on them in your own graphics program to size to fit your own ideas.

Now that we have all types of references for how to do embroidery stitches, I have a whole series of Thanksgiving pillows to share over the next week.

I love the detail work on these. And while I usually keep embellishments off my pillows because I aim to get practical use out of everything I make, I do really like the beads that were used for some of the harvest fruits on this particular example. I think that as long as they were sewn on firmly, they would probably last through the rough treatment that the pillow would get in my house.

Because the detail work on these pillows are so great, I made this photo clickable, so that if you click, you can see the photo full sized and get all the details.

I cannot help it. I am addicted to these little wonders. I love the detail work, I love the felt fabric, I love the simple stitching and basic cutwork that I can repeatedly duplicate over and over.

I can do this over and over. And it is something that really will not go out of style, if you know what I mean. It is a pretty basic design, so that every year, it is going to be able to come out and adorn my Thanksgiving setup.

And, if we get it together fast enough to get these done in advance, it would make a perfect hostess gift if you are traveling for Thanksgiving this year.
