Remember silhouettes?
This is a great (and extremely inexpensive) way to decorate for Halloween. If it turns out that you are quite good at cutting out silhouettes, this would actually make a great gift for a Halloween oriented friend.
And if you cannot bear to give them away, what a wonderful way to decorate for Halloween. You need not even purchase new frames, as you can actually simply add a layer of torn backing and the silhouette in the front of a frame you have up now.
I love the way there are multiple silhouettes grouped together here. It gives power to the display and really adds to the creepiness of the decoration. I am actually going to sit down and try this out myself this weekend.
Since I know that my freehand skills stink, I plan on checking out my vast clipart collection and playing with my graphics program to cobble together a silhouette that I can use on my black construction paper. Hey, you do what you have to in order to get by, you know?

yay! I have a little collection of unused black frames and I just new there was something fantastic I could do with them for Halloween, but I was lacking inspiration. Now I just need to hone my exacto-skills…
By the way, I noticed your NaNoWriMo button. Me too!

Lucy: Excellent about the frames! I’m excited to try out the idea myself. I love the way it looks.
This will be my first NaNo, and I haven’t decided if I’m nervous or excited yet. I still have no idea what I’m going to write about, but I am hosting one of our Atlanta writing groups at a local bookstore! I figure I might not know a thing about writing, but I can smile and look friendly, so that counts for something. I am hoping inspiration of some sort will hit if I surround myself with enough inspired writers. Good luck to you!
