More drilled examples. I just don’t feel like carving this year.
I know. Sacrilegious. And if my sister was not such a great carver, I would be in a world of hurt right now. But fortunately, last year, she carved a number of the fake pumpkins so I am pretty set for scary creepy pumpkins around here.
But I like the shaping and shaving of the pumpkin skin. The oak leaves all around the pumpkin are just exquisite (I have always loved oak leaves anyway, so I am a little biased there).
But so many of the tools that we have in our creative arsenals are perfect for whipping out and stabbing into the waiting and willing flesh of our pumpkin victims. Do it. Kill the pumpkin.
I might not have it in me to stab the pumpkins myself this year, but I can certainly hit it with a drill. That’s why I am so drawn to these examples. I am happy. Power tools. My new friends.
