Halloween potion bottles (plain)
If you are handy with your computer’s graphics program, you could create a few of these absolutely wonderful potion labels. I thought these were such a great atmosphere item, but certainly not for the forty five dollars (yes! $45!) the store wanted for them. That puts me right up on my Kattitudes and makes me utterly determined to make. it. myself.
This is a creative little label and an empty bottle! Good grief. I emptied out a bottle making dinner last night that I could use to make a potion bottle like this. And it sure as heck wouldn’t cost me forty five freaking dollars.
Now I know that I am pretty handy in my graphics programs, so I could definitely cobble together labels that would look at least a little similar to these. Using PhotoShop and layers, I could use clip art, text and a few other tricks to whip these right out.
In fact, one trick to get the label looking old like that? Tea. Slop some tea (just a little) on the label and dry it (I use a hair dryer to speed things up because I’m impatient). The tea stains the label and voila - instant aging.
I bet that with very little effort, you could do get these made too. There. You just saved yourself forty five dollars.
