Movie time: Frightday Night at the Movies, Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Oh classic Frightday Night at the Movies material. It doesn’t get more classic than this.
The 1968 version (the original) of Night of the Living Dead. Quintessentially horror movie, and fantastic date night because you *must* have that good strong hero type to cuddle up with in order to keep you safe.
It has actually been long enough for me since I have seen this version that I cannot remember the general grossness levels. Of course, then I always have to adjust grossness from 1968 and what is considered acceptable versus gross here in 2007. All I know is that either way, I am still hiding my face when the zombies wander in for lunch. Or dinner.
I think it is safe to say that whilst this movie definitely fits Frightday Night at the Movies, it doesn’t fit kids. It is Night of the Living Dead, for goodness sake.
Classic horror. Perfect for Halloween month.
