Nuts for you keychain.
When I saw this in one of my favorite catalogs, I absolutely loved the concept. And when I saw the near $100 price tag, I thought “nuts to you”. Come on. Are you mad?
I can run to my nearest hardware store and assemble this for a dollar. Maybe.
I love the concept. It is truly adorable and nicely manly for that manly man (or woman, I’m not discriminatory) on your list. Something not frilly and not feminine but definitely romantic and sweet that he can carry in his pocket without fear that someone might see it and think him less a man for it.
If you assemble this yourself from parts harvested at the hardware store, wash the pieces well in soapy water. Those parts are usually covered in lubricating oils so they can be used in construction, so clean them well before you assemble your “I am nuts for you” keychain.
And do not forget that with Christmas racing up to us, we need to be thinking about stocking stuffers now, and since this can be assembled at such an inexpensive price tag, this would be simply marvelous to assemble in bulk! Attach a “nuts for you” label so they know how you feel (and that you aren’t telling them that they are nuts) and put one in everyone’s stocking.
