Christmas stocking gone to the dogs.
I love Christmas stockings, we all know that. We know my obsession and when I unpack this year, I’ll start posting more photos of my collection.
But for the kennel owner who has the entire Christmas tree decorated with a dog motif (who is also about to celebrate the birth of a new litter of puppies from the Sandylands line if you are a labrador retriever follower and another superstar line but I do not remember the name, however I am sure she will tell as soon as she reads this), I give you a Christmas stocking geared for the dogs in the house - or for the dog affectionado.
This stocking looks complex, but in reality, there is just a lot of trim. The kennel owner produced a lot of these last year and I watched her in action. She created a template for the stocking out of a good heavy cardboard, and would cut out multiples from layered fabric to save cutting time. Then she would pick and choose from her massive box of embellishments and simply sit and sew whilst chatting. She made a number of very interesting stockings. I thought it was a great way to really get a lot done all while having a lot of fun.
