Keychain charm.
In the past, I have told you about the massive box of magic broken jewelry I keep in my armoire in my room. In it is the detritus of years and years (and years and years and so on) of jewelry wear. When a piece breaks or I lose an earring or I just outgrow my taste for a piece, I toss it in this massive box and use it as my storehouse for future treasures.
When I want to explore new options, or I am looking for a new way to marry pieces, or I need something to help theatre groups play dress-up, out comes that massive treasure chest.
When I lost a monogrammed earring, this keychain charm fit the bill perfectly for a way to practically use up the remaining charm (although a necklace or bracelet would have worked also, I already had more than enough monogrammed options for both). I love the combination of pearls and beads on this simple charm, all attached by simple jumprings.
The framework itself (the part that actually holds the keys) is easy to find now. I see them constantly at JoAnns (in fact, they have become frustrating in that there are now so many options for keychains that they get in my way of what I’m usually trying to find).
This would make a great birthday present for a newly legal driver, or a simple thank you gift for bridesmaids. It would also be a sweet simple gift to put together for stocking stuffers this year (and it is about time to start thinking about those too!).
