I took a picture of the crazy big ring.
Awful picture because it was with an old mobile phone, but you can see the size of the stone.
As I said earlier today, I set it in a no frills white gold basket setting on a white gold band. I am glad I did now so that I can get used to working with a stone this size and determine for myself what works and what doesn’t when it comes to the actual wearing.
Dimensions:
the Rose de France amethyst is actually 26mmx32mm
the white gold band is 8mm thick
Wild. And fun as heck to wear.

Thanks! The more I wear it, the more addicting it becomes and I find now when I put on my smaller (used to be “big” rings) I think “oh. that’s it?”. These size stones are awful for spoiling you!
