More Christmas stockings for inspiration.
I know I have already posted about eleventy billion stockings, and trust me, I have about eleventy billion more left to post. I just love the sweet look that these have.
The ruffles always seem to do it for me. They aren’t hard to put on (gathers were one of the first things I learned to do a hundred years ago in home economics class back when kids still took either home economics or shop class…how’s that for dating yourself?). And I love the variation of fabric used.
Not only do we put up multiple Christmas trees around here, but I have a nice Christmas stocking collection underway. There is a large differentiation in all the fabrics that I have, in nearly every color under the sun. It is the difference that makes the collection work so well.
The collection includes enough stockings in ornament size to fill a tree, plus enough regular sized to fill the living room enough to annoy us throughout the season and keep us tossing them around.
I finally started filling some of my favorite stockings with fabric batting and stitching the stocking closed, making the more adorable stocking shaped pillows for the season than you could possible believe. They are just wonderful and my friends love getting them! Try it out with some of the gorgeous stockings that you whip out this year.
