Have you seen this trick?
We have such a problem around our place trying new window covering repeatedly until we find something we know we want to keep forever and a day. We absolutely fell in love with the idea of grabbing a gorgeous tablecloth and trimming right up the center. Since we only need a straight cut, it would not be hard to make a center trim, then hem both edges so that the curtain looks clean and finished.
Tablecloths are so wild and fun these days that this would be a great way to quickly decorate for the season. Plus, if you wanted, it would be an easy way to decorate a child’s room, playroom or television room. Stitching in an easy pocket rod means you could get these up and down in the blink of an eye.
If you did not feel up to cutting a tablecloth in half, you could actually use the same trick with a whole tablecloth, instead just pulling it to one side with a tassel or tie-back. Work with your imagination, using whatever feels right.
We just love the freshness of this look and as we have three windows stretching across the front of our kitchen, we think we are going to look for three brightly colored clothes this weekend to try it out firsthand.
