So, uh. dragon*con started today.
My goodness.
We managed to attend. well, nothing.
This was our Dragon*con. In the race for different ways to cope with being surrounded by huge quantities of people, we have decided that martinis rank up there with the wheel and sliced bread.
We admit, so far, even with all those people, it has been a pretty decent convention.
We found ourselves a comfortable spot, plus we even ran into our Mister, who had a drink with us, which lead to sitting at the precipice of the downtown Atlanta Marriott new lobby lounge, drinking martinis and pointing out odd costumes to each other.
My word, it was a …day. It is always so interesting to go to these type of events. We experience such a range of responses that we just revel in the people watching. Sometimes, we are a little beyond our looking glass, but still. We are just. amazed at the creativity that some people express.
We tied a beautiful strand of pink pearls and even took a photo (of the pearls. We took significantly more than just one photo of the costumes!).
The stuff people choose to dress up as or imitate…wow.
