Movie time: (Studio Ghibli) Princess Mononoke
There are just not enough words in even my effusive vocabulary to sing the praises of Studio Ghibli’s work. I adore. adore. adore Hayao Miyazaki (and he would not be who he is without Isao Takahata).
These men are my movie heroes, and for reasons that I do not even want to understand, their works resonates in my heart every single time I see their movies (and I have seen them over and over and over and over. And over. And over.)
These movies are lyrical and beautiful, haunting and wonderful all together. They are truly enjoyable. Please do so, I beg of you.

Oh, we love Hayao Miyazaki here, too!
DD actually turned us on to him years ago after seeing Kiki’s Delivery Service. (She also very much enjoys drawing manga characters.
It’s great to see others that appreciate his work as much as we do. (We would also recommend Spirted Away.)
