Halloween treat covers.

How cute is this idea? We give out so much candy at Halloween that we actually worry around here. We know that part of Halloween tradition is the whole treat part of trick or treat, so we are trying to make the treats a little more in terms of special and a little less in terms of volume.

When you look at the jack-o-lantern, you can see how incredibly simple this particular craft would be. Two pieces of felt or fabric slapped together with a simple running stitch to keep it together, then a few cut pieces stitched on to create a wonderful face. How fun this would be!

Plus the idea really dresses up just a few lollipops, so that you could minimize the number of lollipops with which you decorate your favorite little monster’s treat bucket. We throw our annual Monster Mash (our dinner party) around these parts during the Halloween holiday time period, and we could easily see these, stuck in styrofoam hidden deep in an eerily painted planter. What a great simple stitched decoration and present!
