Is anyone else on countdown?

What am I asking? Of course everyone else is on countdown. We are being obsessive around the Kattitudes office, having accidentally read a spoiler before book five. We remember the utter disappointment. Ugh, makes us sick just to think about it. Books are one of the last few true surprises out there anymore. These days we get reviews of movies before they are even released, songs on the radio months before we can buy it, and we can even find out the gender of children scarcely days after conception confirmation. We ask you, is it any wonder that people look forward to Christmas so much? The idea of something unknown wrapped in mystery and shrouded in ribbons of wonderment. We need surprises. We crave anticipation. Waiting can be so exquisite. We definitely do not want to know the end of a book before we read it, so we are sending out the Mister to run interference. Strict instructions were issued (mostly regarding the obsessive need to maintain absolute radio silence, the poor fellow).

So we plan on filling the time by breaking down and posting about eleventy billion recipes that we keep on hand in different places. What you, gentle readers, can simply label one massive file dump. Rather than keeping these on our various hard drives, storage systems and mail services, we plan on doing our core dump on our blog so that we can use it as our reference too. Plus, it would just be nice to clean out our storage dungeons.
