Fun with Harry Potter.
So we are in the midst of the madness. The movie is out and the book follows hard upon, with a mere week countdown until we know, once for all times, if Good does win out over Evil. While all the fun all the fun of Harry Potter swirls, we took a look into our own crystal balls and discovered a perfectly delightful party to be. Just because JK thought it up originally doesn’t mean that you cannot put your own touches out there too. How about a few recipes to entertain your masses and to pass the time until we know the final answer?
Begin with a good drink. What about some ButterBeer?
1 two liter bottle of cream soda
1+ cup butterscotch schnapps
butterscotch flavoring (if desired)
Right before serving, add schnapps to the soda, stirring gently. Do not agitate vigorously, or you will lose the carbonation in the cream soda.
How about a licorice wand?
Melt chocolate in a glass bowl over a simmering pot of water.. Dip first inch or two of individual sticks of licorice into melted chocolate. Allow chocolate to dry before serving. If desired, roll your chocolate covered wand in decorations before allowing chocolate to dry.
