Single pearl on a silk cord

The simplicity of the single pearl on a string of my absolute favorite color is so perfect in my book. The trick to this particular necklace is looking for a pearl that is top-drilled. That is what makes the pearl hang just so on this.
I love the pink colored silk cord used here, but the same concept would work with beading wire and even jelly rope (all these items can be found on the jewelry aisle of your local craft store or your favorite sewing store like JoAnns).
The back of this necklace can either be a clasp or toggle, or if you feel like experimenting, you could look up knots and simply tie the necklace. I personally am off to eBay right this minute to pick up some pink silk cords!
