Wire wrapped briolette
Although this earring and pendant set is not the best executed example of wire wrapping briolette stones, it does show well enough one method of wrapping a briolette.
If you look closely, you will see the head pin that runs through the drilled center of the stone, then up through the loop on the finding (the part used to either go through your ear, or attach to the necklace chain), then wrap down the briolette stone much like wrapping a scarf around and down your neck.
It is an easy skill to learn, but it does take a little practice to get the even wrapping part down cleanly and clearly. Take it slowly and work carefully and you should be thrilled with your results (as is the lucky lady that receives this gorgeous matched set).
