Flat briolette hook earrings
These flat briolette earrings are so disgustingly easy to make that no one should ever consider paying the 100$+ that some catalogs are charging for them.
This particular set is a flat briolette stone, drilled front to back, and a ball head pin (see my jewelry bits post for a better picture) that has been bent to an earring shape. You can do your bending by hand if you wish, but your best bet is those handy dandy little round pliers you always see on the jewelry bits aisle of your crafting store.

Supplies. Outside out of the computer, we have been training as a bench jeweler and jeweler designer, so we do have access to super secret extra special jeweler supply houses. Because of that, we are working on stocking our Kattitudes store with some of the more frequently used jewelry findings.
However, our first and best supply house is still eBay! Yes, as much as we hate to admit it, some of our best pieces come from eBay, so keep your eyes out for good bargains. As with any other shopping situation, you have to know what you are looking for and what is a decent price and what is a rip-off. But for the most part, as long as you are not paying forty dollars in shipping for a single pearl from China, you can find some gorgeous pieces, parts and findings there.
