Sleepaway camp throw pillow
This is the time of year when so many people (children) go to sleep away summer camp. What a neat idea this is - give them their own camp pillow to take and create some wonderful memories with through the years.
This pillow is just wool felt with a camp motif cut and embroidered on. A basic stitch is used to attach the cutouts to the pillow itself. A closeup can be seen here:
A wonderful memory making idea for this particular pillow would be to make it from a lighter colored fabric and send along a permanent marker to camp.
This way, your children could have their new friends sign the pillow as a way to keep the magic of summer camp alive every time they look at their autographed pillow.
