Lace trimmed towels

Whilst we are obsessing with all the gifts we could make with lace, I might as well throw this picture in the mix. I’ve already suggested trimming linens with lace, but you have to see an example to get the impact.
If you aren’t a lace fanatic (then heretic you must be), you could use a seasonal trim instead. A ribbon with easter eggs as a gift for your Easter dinner hostess. Or - you could just decorate your own house. Who says we can only make things for other people?
There is still time to make a gift like this for the holidays. Run to your nearest store and pick up plain ole towels. Most everyone has to hit the grocery store in the next day or 2, stop in the cleaning aisle and pick up plain cotton dishtowels. Either dig through your stash of laces and ribbons (which, if you are reading this blog, I KNOW you have…) or run by the local fabric store and pick up a yard or 2 and sew sew sew. Ten minutes on a machine and you have a fantastic permanent gift that still counts as you-made-it-yourself. You can do it. If you’re watching Christmas movies tonight (as we are), pick up a needle and thread and get to stitching during the movie. Easy peasy (and I’m thinking I might end up doing the same thing tonight too!).
My best to you all - Merry early Christmas Eve!
