Charm necklace

Have you seen these necklaces advertised lately? Once again, an outrageous amount is being requested for an item that would take 5 minutes and $5 to make ourselves.
The idea behind this necklace is to pick a charm for the pendant that means something to the recipient. Then attach to the neck using a wee thin ribbon or silk cord. Then, once the cord/ribbon wears off and breaks, the wish attached to the charm is to come true.
So, for example, if I wish for love, I would attach a heart charm to a thin silk cord - tie to my neck and let it be. Once the cord breaks and I lose the charm, the love should come rushing my way.
It is a novel idea and something fun to coordinate. But having said that, I don’t think losing a heart shaped charm would bring me more love than my husband has already, so I will stick with the fact that I love the simplicity of this necklace.
I love the delicate look on the neck and as it is beyond easy to assemble, I already know what my friends are getting for their birthdays this year.
Now it’s off to find charms to fit their personalities!
