Beaded sterling silver necklace

Again, another basic idea that can be expanded wildly, depending on your circumstances. If it has been a good year, you can use gold chain or real gemstones or pearls. If it’s been a normal year, use sterling silver and freshwater pearls (with which I have experimented, to my enjoyment).
Regardless of the bead, stone, gemstone or pearl used, attach each bead to the chain by use of a headpin, which is then wrapped around the chain link after being strung.
Attach a lobster closure on one end of the chain and you are all done! The beauty of this gift is that with good quality items, you have a very lovely gift. Also, because you are making it yourself, you can tailor the chain length to the recipients individual needs. If you are thinking of making this gift for your eight-year old niece, you’ll want to reduce the chain length to fit her neck.
These necklaces are easy to make. If you can multi task during movie night at your house, this is a great project for multiple gifts.
And while I’m thinking of it, is there anyone that would recommend a fantastic dim sum spot in the general Atlanta area?
