Pocket tree skirt
This gift idea is pretty self explanatory. It works wonderfully for those that don’t have a place to HANG stockings (but frankly, it would never surpass stockings in my house. Those are just too fun [and incredibly easy] to make).
I love the look of this skirt in the felt (which you can buy off the roll at any fabric store). However, the pattern lends itself to ANY fabric and the pockets look to have been put on with a basic running stitch (but I would probably use a blanket stitch instead). You don’t need a sewing machine to accomplish this easy gift. A pair of scissors and a needle and thread will do.
