Boil sugar, Karo syrup and one cup cream to soft ball stage.

Add 1/2 cup cream so slowly that the mixture does not stop boiling. Boil to medium stage.

Add remaining 1/2 cup cream and butter and boil to nearly hard ball stage. Add some vanilla (to taste). Put in greased (buttered) pan.

Allow to cool until you can cut into small pieces.
